Currently Taking Non-Fiction Pitches for Online

Epiphany is now open to pitches for non-fiction! We are looking to establish a new group of writers and critics in residence to publish online over the next year. Between now and June 1, you can reach out to us at pitches@epiphanyzine.com with a pitch for a series of 2-4 essays, together with a more detailed pitch for the first piece. Writers will be compensated $100 per essay.

We are generally interested in:

  • Impersonal essays

  • Personal essays

  • Literary criticism

  • Reviews of literature-adjacent podcasts, films, albums and shows

  • Inside baseball (reportage from inside the writing world)

Five Things We Have Recently Read or Wished to Read About:

Guidelines:

  • Keep your pitch under 200 words

  • Be as specific and detailed as possible about the first essay in your series

  • Please do not send completed work, though do let us know if you have it

  • Please include a writer’s bio

  • Feel free to attach links to one or two previously published works, but not required
